A short animated film I co-wrote and directed, based on the poem ‘Amphibians’ by Lauren Coe, and featuring the voice of Charlie Murphy.
Mero was produced by animation whizz Claire Lennon though our fledgling studio Fictions Picture Company. It was produced though the funding and guidance of Screen Ireland and RTÉ animation programme Frameworks, and premiered at Galway International Film Fleadh in July 2024.

Mero makes her way into the city by train. It feels like this might be her first time out in some time. She ducks into her favourite café where a mug of coffee and an encounter with a kindred spirit put her at ease.
